Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA GOVENLOCK (nee ANDERSON) March 30, 1911 - August 10, 2011 Anna passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital with family by her side, on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Marlene (Larry), Kirby and Judy (Paul) Stanley, grandchildren: Wanda, Allan, Linda and Colin, great-grandchildren: Krista and Dayna, sister Eileen Judd and sister-in-law Bertha Anderson. She was predeceased by her husband Don in 1983 and brothers and sisters Lewis, Johnny, Arni, Mary, Mabel and Jean. Anna was born in Naicam, Saskatchewan and moved to Flin Flon, Manitoba in 1937, where she married Don Govenlock. Anna lived an active and busy life with her family and friends. She was a volunteer in several organizations and a keen sports enthusiast, curling was her favourite. Anna moved to Neepawa, Manitoba for several years when Don retired. Later, she moved to Winnipeg to be close to her family and resided to at Bethel Place for 20 years and recently Thorvaldson Care Center. Living in Winnipeg, she gained an extensive family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her happiest times were family gatherings and in April she was thrilled to celebrate her 100th birthday with relatives from across Canada. The family would like to say thank you for the excellent care provided at St. Boniface emergency and Thorvaldson Care Center. A family service will be held in Neepawa at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice.
